1.11.18 Visit the Rockefeller University!

During our stay in New-York we have visited the Rockefeller University.

On the 1st of November we were excited to attend Maureen E. Murphy’s interesting seminar about the genetics of tumor suppression by p53.

 

2.11.18 Meeting the President of Estonia in New-York

Estonia iGem team Tartu Tuit had an exclusive opportunity to meet president of Estonia 🇪🇪 Kersti Kaljulaid in the World Leaders Forum held in New York 🇺🇸 on the 2nd of November. Topic of the forum: Estonia, the Digital Land. We are very thankful to Columbia University for the opportunity to attend the forum and participate in discussion about Estonia’s latest achievements in technology and future plans. We were glad to hear, that synthetic biology has a great potential to become a strategic field in Estonia. Ours, young scientists’ aim is to enlighten society and companies about the benefits, that synthetic biology can bring by offering solutions to modern world problems…and we will start doing it for sure!
